Houston Airport System Selects DCG As IT PMO Consultants – 2007-2012

The Houston Airport System has selected Derek Consulting Group Inc to serve as its principal information technology program and project management oversight consultants (IT PMO) for a five year period.  The contract provides support services through 2012. DCG will function as HAS’ “lead” IT Consultant, responsible for assisting IT management in the overall coordination and timely completion, from a project management perspective, of all information technology initiatives consistent with the goals and vision of technology strategic plans and project priorities.

DCG has served HAS as IT PMO consultants since 2002, providing program and project management for IT initiatives associated with HAS’s recently completed $3.4 Capital Improvement Program as well as project and applications support for day to day operations.

Over the last five years, DCG has completed more than 300 projects for HAS, including serving as Program/Project Managers for the system-wide access control/CCTV upgrade; system-wide FIDS upgrade; numerous security related application initiatives; and, serving as Project Managers to implement an ERP (SAP) within HAS as part of a City-wide ERP implementation effort.

DCG will continue to partner with HAS to improve service levels and enhance and solidify HAS' information systems capabilities by providing project, functional, and technical expertise along with staffing continuity in the following areas:

• Information Systems Strategic Planning
• Program/Project Management Oversight
• Applications Development/Support
